Kick off your wellington boots and enter into the large, white marbled floor hallway (formerly a dining lounge) greets you from the front door and leads through to the main lounge of the house. The main lounge is striking in its contemporary decor but extremely comfortable none the less. With the open fire burning away, the deep set sofas offering the promise of comfort, the bookcase running the length of one wall and the beautiful views from the windows spanning the back of the room theres a chance that you may not want to see the rest of the house. There is a large screen TV mounted above the fireplace with a DVD player and a very high quality stereo with CD or MP3 (I-pod) compatibility. A small balcony overlooks the stunning valley and the gardens to the rear of the property.
You will find the interconnecting kitchen and dining room on the left side of the first floor, the underfloor heating keeping your toes warm in the winter months. The Kitchen is dominated by the Aga which keeps the two rooms wonderfully warm, a halogen hob and a wall mounted oven and microwave complete your culinary options. Two fridges and freezers, two dishwashers, three sinks and a large drinks fridge can be found in the kitchen and/or pantry area.
The Dining room, classically decorated, has a large Beech dining table that comfortably seats 16. The external doors from the dining room open on to one of the two loggias and has space heaters and seating for those admiring the views.
The second lounge is situated to the right of the main lounge and offers and alternative TV/relaxation room. It also has an open fire and accesses the loggia that mirrors the one opening from the dining room.
The first floor is completed by the vestibule and cloakroom with WC, and the oak floored study is a quiet environment (complete with sofa, desk and chair, and wood burning stove) for those that bring their work with them.
