Pendragon House is a stunning Italianate Villa, both a mirror of the City of Bath, and a haven from it, located just 4 miles from the centre and positioned to get the very best views of the Limpley Stoke Valley and access to the Kennet & Avon Canal and surrounds. Pendragon House comfortably sleeps 15 in six double, one twin and one single bedrooms and the three lounges, offer plenty of room with a multitude of uses from family get-togethers through to hen parties, corporate stays and wedding receptions. With two acres of garden, including a tennis court and children’s play area, with a sunken trampoline, there is scope to enjoy the beautiful outdoors as much as the house.

Originally built as Claverton Hotel it was designed to accommodate passing trade from the canal but the railway line soon put paid to the original business plan. An exert from The Times dated May 10th 1858 advertises, the now renamed, Bassett House as a property to let (price on application). Generously proportioned rooms and a wonderful aspect with the thoroughly modernised interior, means that yet again the house and grounds make for a most appealing property let.

Being situated just four miles from the centre of Bath, yet overlooking open countryside makes this an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area noted for its outstanding natural and architectural beauty. The house itself is close to the Dundas Viaduct where the canal boats cross the valley and the River Avon. There is a small shop for those emergency supplies and the major supermarkets all do home delivery to Pendragon House; we provide you with a complementary welcome pack including organic bread (3 loaves), milk (8 pints) and butter (2 pats), tea, Illy coffee, sugar and sweetners, and salt & pepper.
